A PACT FOR ALL FIRSTS AND LASTS
When in doubt and distress,
Remember the pact you promised yourself.
Through ups and downs,
through all indisputable frowns,
Remember the pact you promised yourself.
Drowned were the days in fuss of mind,
blessed you are, as you crossed that grind.
Through the tiny crevices of that crooked closed door,
you peeped for the untethered hopes,
As you always remembered the pact you promised yourself.
There's no exception you hold,
so as to cross the obscured tantrums of life.
Days of grief, pretentious laughs and clueless moments of "to fight or flight?",
All along, in the end, you never gave up on the things you strived for,
You never gave up on the path of light.
One pact you made after your first downfall,
A pact for all firsts and lasts,
To haul yourself from murk of fallacies,
To live by the pact with this singular thought,
wrecking through all cobwebbed thoughts of your brain brawl.
Blooming along with your befitting thoughts,
which never bargained with hopes to sustain.
Through ups and downs,
through all indisputable frowns,
Remember the pact you promised yourself.
